Ghangad is another hill fort located in the Sahyadri range of the Western Ghats in Maharashtra, India. It's situated in the Pune district, near the Mulshi dam. Ghangad, along with nearby forts like Korigad and TailBaila, forms a popular trekking circuit.
The fort has historical significance and is believed to have been built during the Maratha period. It was strategically important as a watchtower and provided a vantage point to monitor the surrounding region. The trek to Ghangad typically starts from the base village of Ekole and involves a moderate hike through dense forests and rocky terrain. Along the way, trekkers can enjoy scenic views of the landscape and the Mulshi dam reservoir.
DAY - 1

- 10:30 PM - Followed by further pickup points: Nashik Phata
DAY - 2
- 4:00 AM - Reach at base village & freshen up.
- 5:00 AM - Have Morning Breakfast & then we'll start the trek.
- 8.00 AM - Reach the top and explore fort.
- 12:00 AM - Start descending down .
- 2.00 PM - Reach the base village, enjoy the delicious Maharashtrian food & start the return journey by 3:30 pm
- 10.00 PM - Reach back to Pune & bid farewell to all amazing souls with beautiful memories.
