Moroshi is a small village located very close to Malshej Ghat. It is situated at an altitude of 3756 ft from sea level. Bhairavgad Fort was built by the Rajas of Panhala and was subsequently utilized by the Marathas. However, in 1818, the fort was captured by the British. The presence of broken steps on the fort indicates some historical conflicts or events that led to its partial destruction. The broken steps are likely a result of actions taken by the British during their capture or control of the fort.
